Wednesdays 6:30 pm September 3 - October 8 Click here for information on Life Lessons and class descriptions for all blocks. Servant Leadership Our desire is to offer relevant classes that will draw as many as possible into the Life Lessons structure so that entire families can grow and live effectively for Christ. This means increased need for nursery, children's workers, ushers and greeters. Would you consider devoting one block to serve as an usher, greeter, children's or nursery worker? By choosing to serve like this, Jesus said you are actually exercising leadership skills! Your willingness to serve the body helps to make it possible for a greater number of others in our church family to grow, as well. Foundations Foundations class will be offered each block for those who are new to faith in Christ. This class is dedicated to providing an immediate understanding of what it means to enter into relationship with Christ and the key foundational principles that will empower every new believer to begin taking the first steps toward a lifetime of spiritual health and growth. Sanctuary Choir - Pastor Leon Beaudin Committed to a solid vision and a unified purpose, the Sanctuary Choir assembles each week under the direction of Pastor Leon Beaudin to lead the congregation in ministry to the Lord through praise and worship. Weekly choral presentations and seasonal productions are designed to release God's power into the lives of those who hear, compelling the hurting to draw near, the wayward to come home, the foundations of evil to crumble and the purposes of God to be established! If you enjoy singing and have a heart to worship, we'd love to have you join us. Great for those desiring to serve! Christmas Concert During Blocks 1 & 2 the Choir will begin working on this year’s Christmas Concert with Point of Grace to be presented at CCC on Saturday, December 6th at 3 & 7pm. Passion Play During Blocks 3 & 4 the choir will also begin working on a major Passion Play production to include music, drama, tech crew, costumes and sets!
Love and Respect Discover the single greatest secret to a successful marriage. Researchers and counselors affirm it, and the Bible has been saying it for ages. Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing: that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. Using material from Dr. Emerson Eggerich’s groundbreaking bestseller, Love and Respect, this class will bring together a dynamic blend of engaging interaction and actual video segments of the Eggerich’s Focus on the Family endorsed conferences to give you an “over the top,” biblically SOLID, marriage enrichment experience! Two years ago, Pastor Joel and Donna and Pastor Pat and Kristine attended a Love and Respect conference in Flint and came away feeling that Love and Respect was simply the best marriage conference they had every attended (outside of ours, of course)! Authentic Faith - Studies in 1 John First century Christianity grew at an explosive rate, from a handful of disciples in Jerusalem, to an unstoppable force that spread throughout the known world --and the Apostle John had a front-row seat! Along with the excitement of seeing the church grow at an unprecedented rate, “Pastor” John also faced the tasks of dealing with dissention, defection, corruptions of the truth and false teachers trying to persuade people away from the pure faith and true Gospel. In these six sessions, you will connect with John’s passion for God’s people to experience a TRUE faith that will stand the test of time. You’ll discover what it takes to live unshakable for God in a wayward world that seeks to pull us away from faith. The Bait of Satan The Bait of Satan exposes one of the enemy’s most deceptive traps designed to get you out of God’s will—the “bait” of OFFENSE. Jesus said in Luke 17:1, “It is impossible that no offenses will come,” but how these offenses affect you is a choice you make. Your response will determine your future! Handled correctly, offenses can make you spiritually stronger, handled incorrectly offenses will produce anger and bitterness that will severely limit your walk with Christ and your relationships with others. This class will show you how to break free and STAY free from debilitating offenses and escape the “victim mentality.” You will discover why we are often compelled to tell ‘our side’ of the story, how to fight thoughts of suspicion or distrust, how to stop rehearsing past hurts, and how to rebuild trust after an offense. You will learn how to recognize the enemy’s “bait” BEFORE you bite, and take your relationship with God and others to another level! Faith at Work: The 9 to 5 Window The Savior didn’t just call us to a life inside the church, but also to a life that is outside of it. He’s calling each of us to honor Him in all that we say, think, and do - especially on the job, where we spend most of our waking hours. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a line worker, an educator, a business professional, a truck driver or other, God desires to have us live His life and make His presence known “between Sundays.” If your faith life and your work life are important to you, you will not want to miss “The 9 to 5 Window.”
