BLOCK 3

January 4 - February 8 (6 Weeks)

Renewal of the
Mind Pastor Pat Rusch
In Romans 12, the Apostle Paul points out that when it comes to living a life of spiritual health, freedom and joy, being “born again” is only half of the equation! Spiritual transformation only comes from renewing our minds. Many chronic behavioral problems, spiritual and emotional strongholds keep people in bondage, often because we “treat the symptoms” rather than the root cause. The net result is like plucking the heads off of dandelions—it looks good for the rest of the day, but by tomorrow, there they are again! Many believers wear themselves out “TRYING to live free.” Through the use of hundreds of color graphics, understand like never before, how you and those you love can gain spiritual freedom, healing from the past, and walk in victory like never before! “I’ve heard sermons for the better part of 50 years; I do not recall a more concise, informative, clarifying presentation on the topic of how God can live in us… I will never, ever be the same!”- Randy Stauffer CCC for the better part of 50 years; I do not recall a more concise, informative, clarifying presentation on the topic of how God can live in us… I will never, ever be the same!”- Randy Stauffer CCC. This class will also be offered from 8:05-9:00pm. No childcare.

Generation iY Jacob Spence, Kurt Cullison, Henry Waikie, Keith Grabill
You've heard of the "Boomers" and the "millennials." This class will introduce you to "GenerationiY" --those born since 1990. You'll hear the unique perspectives of four of CCC's key youth leadership voices as we explore the groundbreaking book by Tim Elmore. This landmark book paints a compelling - and sobering - picture of today's youth and young adult culture whose immersion in the internet, electronic and social media has crippled relational capacity and places them at risk in an increasingly competitive world. Parents, grandparents and anyone with a heart for this emerging generation can learn how to strategically influence young people to succeed, and what could happen to our society if we don’t. This class moves beyond sounding an alarm to outlining practical solutions.

A Parenting Privilege Pastor Kelly Presson
This class invites parents to reclaim their uniquely powerful, God-ordained role as the primary faith-shapers for their children. Packed with scripture, engaging stories and current research, "A Parenting Privilege" provides a compelling and Biblical understanding of a parent's most important task -- leading our children to the savior through His Word!  In spite of so many distractions competing for the hearts of our kids, what an encouragement it is to know that parents STILL hold the most influence in their children's lives! Raising them, pointing them to Christ, modeling the Gospel, and talking about God's grace, is the privilege of every parent!

Forgotten God Tim Keppel
"Praise Father Son and...that other guy. "From the author of "Crazy Love," "Forgotten God" is offered as a compelling invitation to rediscover the Holy Spirit's power in our lives. In the Forgotten God book and DVD, Francis Chan contends that we’ve ignored the Spirit for far too long, and that without Him, we operate in our own strength, only accomplishing human-sized results. It’s time for the beloved church of Jesus Christ to reverse the trend of neglect. Let’s pursue the Spirit-filled life of power and effectiveness God intended and that we desire.

ALL BLOCKS

Sanctuary Choir
Committed to a solid vision and unified purpose, the Sanctuary Choir assembles each week under the direction of Pastor Leon Beaudin and Music Assistant, Travis Fader, to lead the congregation in ministry to the Lord through praise and worship.  Weekly choral presentations and seasonal productions are designed to release God’s power into the lives of those who hear, compelling the hurting to draw near, the wayward to come home, the foundations of evil to crumble and the purposes of God to be established!  If you enjoy singing, we’d love to have you join us.

Christmas Concert - During Blocks 1 & 2 Choir will excitedly begin working on Christmas music for this year’s Christmas multiple night concert.  The choir will perform many new selections as well as some of their Christmas favorites from the past.  Tickets are free!  You may visit the website for concert dates and times.

Passion Play 2012 - During Blocks 3 & 4 the Choir will be working on the Easter Passion Play.  This production will have a choir and full drama cast offering several performances during the month of March.  You may visit the website for Passion Play dates and times.

Servant Leadership
Our desire is to offer relevant classes that will draw as many as possible into the Life Lessons structure so that entire families can grow and live effectively for Christ. This means increased need for nursery, children’s workers, ushers and greeters. Would you consider devoting one block to serve as an usher, greeter, children’s or nursery worker? By choosing to serve like this, Jesus said you are actually exercising leadership skills! Your willingness to serve the body helps to make it possible for a greater number of others in our church family to grow, as well.

Foundations
Foundations class will be offered during each block for those who are new to faith in Christ. This class is dedicated to providing an immediate understanding of what it means to enter into relationship with Christ and the key foundational principles that will empower every new believer to begin taking the first steps toward a lifetime of spiritual health and growth.
