BLOCK 4

February 15 - March 7 (4 Weeks)

Identity in
Christ Lee & Renee' Blanchard
Have you ever asked yourself, “Who am I?” “Who has God created me to be?  I mean, who hasn’t? Well, in this teaching we will be learning about and understanding who God has created us to be as His children.  We will discuss how to walk out our everyday life as His child and no longer as slaves to sin.  We will be learning what it means to be a child of the King and the benefits that come with that identity.  “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to son-ship.”  Romans 8:15

The Power of a Praying Woman Laura Osborne
It doesn't matter what age you are, what struggles you have, or how long you have been a believer.  If you are a woman trying to live a God-centered life, then this class is for you!  In the midst of our busy lives, too often we don't pray enough or we only pray about the most pressing issues and neglect to take the time to really get close to God, sharing with Him the deepest longings of our heart. HIS presence gives hope for the future and overcomes emptiness and frustration! Do you hunger for a greater sense of the Lord's presence in your life? Do you want to experience joy in your day? Come join other women as we study Power of a Praying Woman by Stormie Omartian and move into the life of wholeness and blessing He has for us through prayer. WOMEN ONLY PLEASE.

Healthy Cooking Tricia Pierce & Mary Ponte
Have you ever said, "Why does health food taste like dog food?"  After this class, you will never have to sit down to a bland meal again!  We will be using God's creation of grains, fruits, vegetables, and meats to create delicious health conscious appetizers, meals, and desserts.  We will be teaching about organic, low fat, low sugar, and nature based foods.  This class will include special focus topics like eating with food allergies, eating for weight loss, and myths of fad diets.  Also, we get to sample the food!  Don't miss the opportunity to give God the Glory in the kitchen. FOR MEN AND WOMEN

Creating Community Mark & Kathy Petrimoulx
In a church the size of CCC, it’s easy to be around hundreds of people and be lonely - to be acquainted with many, but connected to no one. Yet, what can compare to the joy of spending time with a few good friends? How do we get to know people, meet new friends and grow our relationships beyond the veneer of a Sunday morning handshake? The answer is found in Creating Community. This is more of an experience than a class. Our time together is not designed to teach you a lot of biblical information, but to give you an opportunity for biblical connection by putting you in touch with others in the body. Each week you’ll spend a few minutes getting to know five or six new friends around your table. Four weeks - four different experiences. Our hope is that maybe one of the CONNECTIONS you make will grow into a FRIENDSHIP that will eventually lead you to experience COMMUNITY. Refreshments will be served each week.

ALL BLOCKS

Sanctuary Choir
Committed to a solid vision and unified purpose, the Sanctuary Choir assembles each week under the direction of Pastor Leon Beaudin and Music Assistant, Travis Fader, to lead the congregation in ministry to the Lord through praise and worship.  Weekly choral presentations and seasonal productions are designed to release God’s power into the lives of those who hear, compelling the hurting to draw near, the wayward to come home, the foundations of evil to crumble and the purposes of God to be established!  If you enjoy singing, we’d love to have you join us.

Christmas Concert - During Blocks 1 & 2 Choir will excitedly begin working on Christmas music for this year’s Christmas multiple night concert.  The choir will perform many new selections as well as some of their Christmas favorites from the past.  Tickets are free!  You may visit the website for concert dates and times.

Passion Play 2012 - During Blocks 3 & 4 the Choir will be working on the Easter Passion Play.  This production will have a choir and full drama cast offering several performances during the month of March.  You may visit the website for Passion Play dates and times.

Servant Leadership
Our desire is to offer relevant classes that will draw as many as possible into the Life Lessons structure so that entire families can grow and live effectively for Christ. This means increased need for nursery, children’s workers, ushers and greeters. Would you consider devoting one block to serve as an usher, greeter, children’s or nursery worker? By choosing to serve like this, Jesus said you are actually exercising leadership skills! Your willingness to serve the body helps to make it possible for a greater number of others in our church family to grow, as well.

Foundations
Foundations class will be offered during each block for those who are new to faith in Christ. This class is dedicated to providing an immediate understanding of what it means to enter into relationship with Christ and the key foundational principles that will empower every new believer to begin taking the first steps toward a lifetime of spiritual health and growth.
