Global Missions is an integral part of who we are at CCC Missions Outreach and Leadership Teams We are actively involved in supporting over 162 missionaries and projects in over 65 countries of the world. Last year, with God's help, our congregation gave over $580,000.00 to world missions! We also believe very strongly that involvement in missions goes far beyond giving in an offering. In the last 5 years we have sent 23 teams to over 13 countries of the world including 10 stateside and local ministry venues. Learn more about upcoming and ongoing missions opportunities.
Leadership is provided to our missions outreach by our missions pastor and the missions council. Each missions council member oversees a small group dedicated to intercessory prayer, missionary care, communication and the ongoing development of CCC's missions strategy to the region they serve. A great way to get involved in missions leadership is to join a regional team. Relationship: The Key to Growth in Missions A key to missions growth in any church, family or individual's heart is tied to relationship. If missions is nothing more than a list of people with whom we have little or no connection, we won't be very excited about getting involved. On the other hand if a family, couple or individual can build a meaningful relationship with a missionary or connect personally with the real needs of the people God has called us to reach, missions will become a passion not a duty; an honor, not simply a responsibility. Being involved in missions will create in us an unparalleled sense of purpose and fulfillment knowing that we are making an eternal difference! There are a number of ways we hope you would consider building deeper relationships in missions at Missions Month, Services and Faith Promises We have opportunities to hear the passion and vision of one of our missionaries about once a month for what we call a 5 min. "Missions Window" during our Sunday morning worship services. In addition, there are various opportunities throughout the year to connect more personally with our missionaries in small groups or special luncheons, youth and children's ministries. October is missions month at CCC. Our missions pastor begins missions month with a key note address, usually highlighting our missions theme for the year. Weeks two and three focus on special missions presentations by some of the foremost voices in missions today. The month ends with our senior pastor presenting a challenge to the congregation as we make our annual faith promises. It is these faith promises that enable us to support the many missionaries and projects we do on a regular basis as illustrated below.
